Meral Kayıkçıoğlu

Meral Kayıkçıoğlu is a valued new HICC steering committee member, ready to lead the HICC to greater success and innovation in the future. She is a Professor at Ege University School of Medicine, Department of Cardiology in Izmir, Turkey. Renowned as a Lipid & Prevention specialist, she leads multiple clinics including Lipid, Pulmonary Hypertension, and Young MI. Dr. Kayıkçıoğlu holds key roles as the National CVD Prevention Coordinator for Turkey with EAPC, deputy ambassador for ESC's MENA and India Regions, and social media ambassador for EAS. She chairs various national registries and is actively involved in research on atherosclerosis, lipids, familial hypercholesterolaemia, and cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, she plays a pivotal role in advocacy and collaborative projects with the Turkish Ministry of Health.
