Iulia Iatan

Iulia Iatan is a valued new HICC steering committee member, ready to lead the HICC to greater success and innovation in the future. She is a medical doctor and Clinician Scientist at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Healthy Heart Program Prevention Clinic, Vancouver. With expertise in cardiometabolic and vascular prevention, inherited lipid disorders and women’s health, she brings a wealth of knowledge both from Western (UBC) and Eastern (McGill) Canada. Notable for receiving numerous awards, including the Canadian Cardiovascular Society Clinical Science Award and National Lipid Association Lipid Scholarship, she spearheads the study on Familial Hypercholesterolemia in Canada. Dr. Iatan's contributions to the cardiovascular field and presentations at several international meetings, including her recent Late-breaking Clinical Research at the American College of Cardiology Scientific Sessions, showcase her dedication to advancing cardiovascular health.
